Schoolwide 5K another success

The Haywood Schools annual Schoolwide 5K was another success this year, according to Schools Health Coordinator Sharon Thornton. “We had more than150 participants which is the biggest number yet!  All the money raised goes back to the school chosen by the paying participant for their School Wide Behavior Program,” she said.
Haywood Elementary Principal Tracy Riddle said,  “I am so proud of the participation from Haywood Elementary School!  We had administrators, our instructional facilitator, secretary, Project Basic counselor, teachers, auxiliary teachers and teacher assistants to participate!  We also had tons of our students running and walking.  It was a great day!”
