A dancing and singing cast of the HHS Theater Department, under the direction of Emily Carpenter and Choreographer Megan Mysinger Simpson, thrilled audiences as they presented their production of “High School Musical” to some of the students in HCS schools and to the public in two productions on Saturday, March 3, and Sunday, March 4, at the College Hill Theater, Ann Marks Performing Arts Center.

Cast Members were Sam Banks, Cortavious Keshaun Shephard, TraDarius Franklin, Temple Taylor, Alex Sceals, Allison Wright, McKenna Barken, Gemiah Bell, Landon Wilson, Riley Barr, Rebecca Davis, Bryce Currie, Iverson Hines, Everette Pettigrew, Robert Shaw, Brandon Evans, Andrew Reed, Tristan Taylor, Andre Robertson, Jatlin Hess, Ellie Haynes, Lillie Pittman, Massai Twitty, Mikala Leath, Leslie Fox, Colbie Killen, Sara Quaré, Emily Baynes, Desiree Campos, Trakliah Morton, Hunter Smothers, Jordan Cone, Drake Sills, Acayla Palmer, Rusty Myers, Kobe Maddox, Bendy Yuan-Zhao, Ann-Wesley Banks, Avery Turnage, Zakaria Carpenter, Jordan Cates, Isabela Campos, and Elizabeth Kirby.

Stage Managers were Chloe Fry, Riley Simmons, Elizabeth Carpenter, Carson Pittman, and Emani Hopkins.

House Committee Members were Cornisha Barnes, Tyler Morton, Sanaa Muex, Onterrio Woods, Colli Shaw, and Iyana Taylor.

Hannah Littlejohn, Victoria Shetler, and Grace Glaser made up the Makeup Committee.

Music Director was Melinda Goedecke and Program Editor was Glynn Bridgewater.

Miss Em (Emily Carpenter, Director) said, “My favorite part of theater is the effort it takes from an entire group of people to bring a production to the stage. One single part is not any more important than another. Without the help of every single person behind the stage, on the stage, upstairs, downstairs, planning, building, painting, dancing with Ms. Megan, rehearsing, singing, showing up, and giving one hundred percent, the show could not go on. Hard work, dedication, and fun don’t even begin to touch what these students have devoted to this musical. I am beyond proud for them to show you the end result of their talents.”
