Request for Proposal
Haywood County Schools, Department of Nutrition is seeking proposals for kitchen equipment maintenance and repair services and refrigeration equipment maintenance and repair services. All interested parties may pick-up the bid documents at the HCS Board of Education or they may be downloaded here. The deadline for submission is May 14, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

Haywood County Schools presents A Celebration: Rhythm & Hues of the Arts 2026.” The event is on May 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at College Hill Center, 127 N. Grand Ave., Brownsville, TN 38012. The design features cartoon-style students holding art supplies and musical instruments against a purple fantasy-style background. Event highlights include student performances, a student art exhibit, and food trucks and vendors. The flyer notes free shuttle service running every 15 minutes with limited parking and lists multiple shuttle pickup locations. A highlighted section promotes the “Purple Pride School Award” for the school with the most visitors in attendance.

Pre‑K Registration

Families with incoming 3‑ and 4‑year‑old students are invited to attend Pre‑K Registration at Anderson Early Childhood Center.

  • 3‑Year‑Olds: 8:00–10:00 AM
  • 4‑Year‑Olds: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
  • 620 West Main Street, Brownsville, TN

Registration packets will be completed on site. Families should bring all required documents, including identification, proof of residency, income verification, and updated shot records and physicals.

Rhythm & Hues: A Celebration of the Arts

After registration, keep the celebration going at Rhythm & Hues of the Arts 2026, a FREE, family‑friendly arts festival featuring student performances and artwork from across Haywood County Schools.

  • 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • College Hill Center, 127 N. Grand Ave., Brownsville, TN
  • Enjoy live student performances, student art exhibits, arts and crafts, vendors, and food trucks.
