Guests enjoy music at the HMS Fine Arts Night
The Haywood County Schools School-Wide Choir is a newly formed group of singers from East Side, Haywood Middle, and Haywood High, who presented a selection of songs for the Fine Arts Night at HMS. They sang an old-school song from the ‘40s, “Stand By Me,” a favorite gospel rendition of “Jesus Promised,” and the yearly community’s favorite “Share Your Goodwill.” Also singing during the program was HMS teacher Lauryn Spitzer. Arethria Turner is the HMS music teacher.
The HMS Band, under the direction of Mr. Johnathan Stark, rocked the house with old-school songs from the ‘70s and ‘80s: “Hollywood Swinging” and “Billie Jean,” new songs: “See You Again” and a gospel rendition of “Every Praise.”
