Haywood Schools participate in Fall Fest
Members of the Haywood Schools District Officer participated in Fall Fest by taking pictures of festival-goers with Stac-Mot. Among those pictured were HHS Coach Matthew Shearon with his wife, Shana, and their daughter, Addison. The Haywood High cheerleaders also did face-painting and sold several cheerleading items as a fundraiser. Members of the HHS Future Farmers of America, along with their sponsors, John Joyner and Garry Butler, sold grilled corn, a favorite treat every year at the festival. Members of the award-winning HHS Show Choir performed for a big crowd at the festival. The choir will be competing in the spring again in Dallas, Texas. Members of the HHS nursing class and HOSA organization volunteered with the Coordinated School Health Program, Sharon Thornton, director, at a healthy exercise jumping center at the festival. Also another of the HHS choirs performed, under the direction of Rev. Rickey Reed.
