On August 1,  the district-wide school nutrition program’s inservice was held with 45 cafeteria staff members present. Staff members were trained in food safety, school meal patterns, USDA regulations, and customer service.  Additionally, 15 were honored for their years of service as employees of the Haywood County School Nutrition Program.  Among those honored were (seated, from left) Carolyn Cooper – 15 years, Patricia Johnson – 10 years, Glenda Hess – 15 years, Lucy Trotter – 15 years, Brenda Overton – 25 years;  (standing, from left)  Pam Smith – 30 years, Mary Lefave – 30 years, Mary Walker – 15 years, Brenda Chatman – 25 years, Sharon Waddell – 25 years, Peggy Hinsley – 20 years, Ida Shaw – 15 years, Hattie Rivers – 15 years, Sissy Lott – 42 years and (not pictured) Joyce Sharp – 20 years.
