Anderson preschoolers enjoy the animals
Thursday morning, October 5, with the help of HHS FFA students, under the direction of John Joyner and Carrie Smith, preschoolers at Anderson enjoyed the school’s annual Petting Zoo from The Petting Place in Milan, Tennessee. Students were able to ride little horses, pet and feed a llama, chickens, goats, ducks, a donkey, and a rabbit. Many had not seen these animals and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to meet them in person. The FFA students helped the sometime reluctant students feed the animals and pet them. This was considered an on-site field trip and paid for with funds from a Pre-K grant, according to Principal Charles Byrum.
