Haywood County recently held its Spelling Bee, and 15 students participated in the sixth, seventh and eight grades. Sixth-grade winners were Jasmine Jones, Anthony Nile, Keresa Woods, Trey Cunningham and Uziel Policarpo. Seventh-grade winners were Shakiyyah Robinson, Kameron Pickens, Rebecca Davis, Haven Williams and Tyrell Douglas. Eighth-grade winners were Karson Neal, Emily Russell, Riley Barr, Alex Sceals, and Ellington Steele.

Overall winners were 1st place – Cameron PIckins and 2nd place – Emily Russell.
