On Monday, February 24th, Haywood Middle School hosted an induction ceremony honoring and recognizing its newest members.

Principal Michelle Tillman led the ceremony and gave welcome to new inductees and their parents and supporters. Following the welcome, senior member Martha Carpenter went over the criteria for membership. Johnathan Tosh served as the representative for the senior Junior Beta Club members while Ramya Dixon was the representative from the new inductees. Asst. Principal Tim Seymour presented the charge to new members, after which Tillman, alongside Assistant Principal Grover Harwell, began the presentation of new members. Preceding the presentation, several senior members lit the honorary candles: Liberty Johnson lit the white candle; Macie Ferrell lit the red candle; Christine Michael lit the blue candle; Skyler Johnson lit the black candle; Chris Sanders lit the gold candle. Stoles were presented by senior members JT Byrum and Erick Ramirez. Immediately following the recognition of new Junior Beta Club members, Liberty Johnson led everyone in the pledge. Tillman then conducted the Principal’s Club induction, after which, senior member Sonya Aguilar led the congregation in closing.
