Friends, family, co-workers and community members joined Brownsville Mayor Jo Matherne, Haywood County Mayor Franklin Smith and the Board of Education in honoring Superintendent of Schools Teresa Russell at a reception in the College Hill Center on Tuesday, October 2. Board members Harold Garrett and Robbie Jarrett-King were with Mrs. Russell as she received guests and well-wishers, along with members of her cabinet Vincent Harvell, Art Garrett and Toni Eubanks. Also attending were Board member Greg Vanstory and other city and county officials.
