World Book now available online
The World Book Encyclopedia is now available online for free to all Tennessee residents. Tennessee Electronic Library added the popular reference source to its lineup of quality reference materials on June 1, 2011.
World Book can be accessed by going to tntel.info from any computer, or by clicking the “Tennessee Electronic Library” link on the Haywood Schools homepage. On the World Book site, users have a choice of versions from Kids through Advanced. In addition, there is a Spanish-language version.
Tennessee Electronic Library is a collection of online databases, periodicals, and reference materials made available through state funding. These high-quality information sources are only available through subscription and do not appear in Google or other search engine results.
TEL, which has now entered its second decade, is constantly working to expand its services to the citizens of Tennessee. With the addition of the online encyclopedia, it has become an excellent source for everything from homework help to test-prep resources to professional-level research.
