HHS Academic Decathlon

2018 STATE COMPETITION RESULTS

Haywood High School made Academic Decathlon history this year by being the first school in the state to have four teams competing. Two junior teams and two senior teams participated in online testing in seven academic disciplines, and then traveled to Nashville to compete in the Super Quiz event. The Junior Purple team placed second overall and won a wild-card slot to participate in national competition. The Senior Purple team placed third overall, and the Senior White team placed fourth. The Junior White team placed sixth overall. Team members received a total 57 medals, eight plaques for individual scores, and two trophies.
