4-H Public Speaking Contest

Ten Haywood Middle School students participated in the County 4-H public speaking contest. Here are the winners and participants:

6th Grade
Keyanna Buck – participant ribbon, Leanna Delaney – 1st place, Precious Anderson – 2nd place, Keasia Tyus – 3rd place, and Faith Perry – participant ribbon


 
7th Grade – Dennisse Ortega – 1st place

 

8th Grade – Jeremiah Clemmons – 2nd place, Raven Watson – 1st place, Nima Hasan – 3rd place, and James Call – participant

Dennisse Ortega, and Raven Watson won 2nd place in the sub-regional public speaking contest in McNairy County on Thursday, March 15. The sub-regional contest included eight counties: Chester, Fayette, Hardeman, Haywood, Madison McNairy, Shelby, and Tipton. Dennisse competed against 1st place county winners from Chester, Hardeman, Madison, McNairy, and Tipton counties. Raven competed against 1st place county winners from Fayette, McNairy, and Tipton counties. Karen Jones is the Haywood County 4-H Extension Agent.
