HHS Lean on Me
The main objective of the Haywood High School Lean on Me Club: CHOOSE KINDNESS. The group is made up of 16 students who are trying to promote a positive atmosphere at HHS and in Haywood County. Recently, the students flooded Haywood County businesses chanting and handing out CHOOSE KINDNESS T-shirts to local business owners. It was just a small way to say, “Thank you for supporting our town.” But, that’s not all they do. At Haywood High School, they do their best to recognize those students who are trying their best every day. They recently gave new students at HHS goodie bags filled with various “Tomcat” apparel and are busy planning for other events for teachers and students throughout the school year.
Allyson Byrum, HHS Audio/Visual teacher, is one of the sponsors for the Lean on Me Club, and Catherine Hamilton, PE/Wellness and Drivers Education teacher is co-sponsor.
If you would like to donate to the Lean on Me Club, please contact Allyson Byrum at Haywood High School at 731-772-4221.
