Glynn Bridgewater, sponsor for the HHS Academic Decathlon, announced Tuesday that Elliot Garrett was the highest scoring team member in the online National Decathlon competition. Corey Bond placed third in his division in math. “This is our first national medal,” Ms. Bridgewater added.

Three HHS teams competed in the state Academic Decathlon in February, and the Purple Team placed second overall and qualified to participate in the national online competition in April. In the State contest, HHS team members won two trophies, eight plaques for individual high schools, and 68 medals.
