Soccer at HES!
Haywood Elementary student Gigi Gaietto-McKinney loves soccer and Haywood Elementary. She noticed that there were no soccer balls or soccer equipment for her friends to play with, and she decided to do something about it. She asked for donations and contributions from various people and businesses. In addition, with the support of Mr. Billy Wilhitt and Sylvia Trammell at Community Bank in Jackson; Cindy Smith, who is the school system’s Health Coordinator; and Academy Sports and Outdoors in Jackson, she was able to gift four soccer goals and 19 soccer balls to the school at their nine weeks pep rally.
“Thanks to Gigi for showing her leadership skills and providing a great Act of Kindness for our community,” said HES Principal Anna Roberts. She is the daughter of HES music teacher, Patricia Gaietto
