A group of Haywood High School students participated in Manufacturing Day on October 6, with Lasco Fittings, Teknor Apex, Precision Coils, Dynametal Technologies, and TCAT Whiteville partnering with Haywood High School – Career and Technical Division and the Haywood County Industrial Board to give them an opportunity to learn about manufacturing in the community. They toured the industries and a team of experts from Tennessee College of Applied Technology spoke to the students about careers and jobs they witnessed during the tours, the educational requirements for the jobs and how TCAT can meet their education needs. The Career and Technical division provided lunch for the students.
