Under the direction of Mrs. Arethria Turner (choir) and Mrs. Katie Valdez, Haywood Middle School students in the bands, drumline and Show Choir presented a musical show for other students and families and friends.

The Show Choir performed “Last Christmas (I Gave You My Heart),” “All I Want for Christmas is You,” and “Jingle Bell Rock.” The HMS Beginning Band presented “Good King Wenceslas,” “Jingle Bells,” and “Dreidel Song,” all arranged by Nowlin. The HMS Drumline presented several numbers, one of which they wrote, and the HMS Advanced Band played “Warm Up Chorale” (All Grade and Thanksgiving) arranged by Nowlin, “Starburst Fanfare” by Shaffer, and “Christmas Mash-Up” by Clark.

Wrapping up the evening was the induction of six students into the TRI-M Honor Society. Receiving these membership awards were Rania Cole, Karzel Tyus, Kendarius White, Key Anna Buck, Jontasia Campbell, and Trenton Evans.
