Tanika Pickens
East Side Intermediate School
 

Ms. Tanika Pickens, fifth-grade teacher, was chosen as the East Side Intermediate Teacher of the Year. She earned a Bachelor of Science in 2007 from Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee. She also earned in 2010 a M.A. Education from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. Professionally, she has served as a new teacher mentor and a Teacher Leader at East Side. Tanika participates in East Side’s school events throughout the year that focus on building relationships with parents and members of the community, including PTO, Leader in Me, Open House, and PEP Rallies.
