Parade celebrates graduating Kindergarteners
Spirits were sky-high. Smiles ear to ear. Excitement abounded. And the decorations were out of this world. On Tuesday evening, May 25, Anderson Early Childhood Center joined the town’s graduation festivities with a parade celebrating its kindergarteners. 190 rising first-graders, each in their own automobile escort through the elementary campus by friends and family, were the stars of the night. Staff and administrators lined the parade route, bidding adieu to the tiny graduates. For the second year in a row, the school has opted outside for a drive-thru promotion parade rather than the traditional indoor graduation ceremony due to COVID restrictions.
