On May 12, the Anderson Cubs cheered on and supported the 11 top spellers from Kindergarten as they participated in the 3rd Annual Anderson Spelling Bee. These star spellers spelled three-letter CVC words, four- to five-letter words with silent letters, and sight words. Winning first place was Aiden Mudd, second place – Kylan Bond, and third place – Asaya Douglas.

Many people worked together to make this event a success. Thanks to our special guest who came to congratulate our spellers, The Money Bee, along with Tim Stokely from InSouth Bank, and our celebrity judges, Toni Eubanks, Cindy Smith, and Tonya Baltimore. Thanks also to Ms. Ragan Baumheckel and the Family Resource Center for donating books to the winners.
