Students Win Gifts For Participating In Gear UP ACT Classes
Two Haywood High School students, Keyshaun Brummett and Bryce Currie, recently won $25 gift cards after their names were drawn for attending the Haywood County GEAR UP ACT Success classes held on Saturdays at Haywood High during this school year. The classes, taught by Tarsha Miller-Man and Julian Stanz, provided students with tutoring in English, math, and science. The two students were among 54 students who took the classes on one or more Saturdays. The classes helped students gain insight into the content and format of the test, while they learned practical test – taking strategies for maximizing their test scores.
