Booster Seat Check-up event a success
The Brownsville Police Department, Haywood Elementary School, and the West Tennessee Child Passenger Safety Center sponsored a Booster Seat Check-up Event on Wednesday, September 19, at Haywood Elementary School from noon until 2:30 p.m. An ecstatic Police Chief Chris Lea reported that “over 100 child safety seats were issued in 1 hour and 40 minutes!” Booster seats were inspected and replaced for free. This was an outreach effort to the Haywood Elementary students and their parents. Principal Tracy Riddle and the entire staff at Haywood Elementary School provide a safe environment during the school day and want to help all parents to keep children safe.
