Recently Haywood Elementary second-grade teacher Susan Evans had a “special science expert” stop by for a visit and demonstration. Susan’s husband, John, came and did a science experiment with the kids about density. He layered 5 different types of liquid, each less dense than the previous one. He then dropped in objects and the students guessed how far down the objects would fall. “The students really had a good time predicting what the outcome would be each time Mr. John dropped in an object,” Susan said.  “I think John enjoys our science time even more than we do!”
