Haywood High School students successfully completed over 100 applications to college during the statewide College Application Week, September 29-October 2. Students were assisted in the application process by their counselors and REDI co-ordinator; Paula Edwards, Vicki Deberry, Lara English, and Martha Lyle Ford.  Jackie Whitten, GearUp coordinator supplied snacks, water, door prizes and a large poster for the students.  Winner of the daily door prizes were Marquiz Watkins, Chardae Douglas, Carolann Howell, Billy Price and Bailey Baggett. Winner of the grand prizes sponsored by InSouth Bank, First South Bank, First State Bank, Jim McAdams State Farm and Lee Berry State Farm were Dustin Staggs and Mary-Will King.  Dustin won a Galaxy notepad, and Mary-Will won an HP laptop computer.
