AECC graduates 206 students
Anderson Early Childhood Center kindergarten students were honored at graduation ceremonies on Tuesday, May 17, in the school gymnasium. Friends and family members crowded the gym to see the smallest students wear their caps and gown and receive their graduation certificates. Assistant Principal Linda G. Sanders handed the certificates to Principal Charles Byrum as he positioned himself on the 206 students’ level to congratulate them with high fives and hugs. Two students, Mia Barrera and Jermarion Bufford, received recognition for having perfect attendance. The Reading Wall of Fame Top Readers recognized were Jacob Faulkner, Payton Littles, Robert Thornton, and Malena Washington. Mr. Byrum reported that students at Anderson had read a total of 40,000 books this year.
