Anderson students give to other children
The students in Ms. Elizabeth’s class at Anderson Early Childhood Center recently participated in a Christmas “giving” project. In order to help students understand that Christmas is not only about getting gifts for themselves, Ms. Elizabeth involved students in this project to provide them the opportunity to give and bless others. The class collected games and toys for children who were spending their Christmas at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. The class also made and decorated Christmas and Get Well cards for the patients and their families. The toys were put in Christmas bags that were given to patients on Christmas. The Christmas cards that the class made will be placed on the hospital food trays that the patients and families receive. The class collected a total of 56 toys and games! They also made and decorated 50 Christmas cards. Ms. Elizabeth is thankful to the parents and students in her class who donated items to help bless the children and families of Le Bonheur!
