Cassidy Hendrix Signs With Millsaps College

Cassidy Hendrix signed on Friday, May 16, to receive a scholarship from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, where she will play softball and major in chemistry. Cassidy graduated from Haywood High School on May 17 with a 4.0 GPA, earning the Valedictorian designation. She is the daughter of Johnny and Connie Hendrix, and the granddaughter of J. W. and Carolyn Hendrix, Carolyn Duncan, and the late George Duncan, all of Brownsville.

Cassidy is a member of the HHS Beta Club, the Distinguished Scholars and Tennessee Scholars programs. She is also a member of HOSA and the Backpack Club, the Show Choir, French Club, the HHS Varsity Softball team, and served as an HHS Varsity Football Cheerleader. She participated in the HHS Drama Department spring musicals and is a member of Allen Baptist Church.

Cassidy was selected as softball Player of the Game by Trinity Christian Academy 2011, Team MVP 2012 and 2013, All-District Player 2012, and All-Tournament Player 2013. This year she was named All-Academic for her team, and she received the Hustle Award.
