DECA Students Qualify For State Competition
Haywood High School DECA students attended the District Career Development Conference January 19 at Union University in Jackson. From that competition, three students qualified to compete at the state level in March at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center. Lena Smith will be competing in Hotel and Lodging Management, Bendy Yuan-Zhao and Leslie Fox will compete in Hospitality Services Team Decision Making.
Other DECA students of honorable mention from DCDC were Titus Newble – 3rd in Hospitality and Tourism test, Dominic Gaietto – 3rd in Marketing Management test, Kirsten Watson and Colbie Killen received 2nd in Sports and Entertainment Role Play.
