East Side Intermediate Teacher of the YEar

Leigh Anne Allen is a fifth grade teacher at East Side Intermediate School with 25 years of teaching experience. She has taught in her present position for 10 years where she has served in various leadership roles including mentoring other teachers. Ms. Allen also has a Spanish certification and has taught at the high school level in this capacity. She has worked in the districts’ afterschool program and tutored students on her own time.
