Four Baseball Tomcats Sign To Play For Bethel University
On Wednesday, June 17, four Haywood High School Tomcats signed four-year scholarships to play baseball for Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee – Billy Ray Price, Dustin Staggs, Hunter Roten and Jordan Fitzgerald. Bethel Assistant Baseball Coach Eric Patton came to HHS to meet with the players and their families. Coach Patton said, “We are excited to have these players join us. Coach Newman is doing a great job here.” He added that it says something good for the program to have four players receiving scholarships. Billy Ray pitched; Dustin, first base and pitcher; Hunter, second base and pitcher; and Jordan played left field.
