Haywood Elementary students enjoy visitors to the classroom
Miss Amanda Stanley’s first-grade class at Haywood Elementary had two important visitors on Friday, October 15th. Mr. Marlon King, Superintendent of Haywood County Schools, and Mrs. Teresa Russell, Deputy Superintendent, brought special treats to the class. Each student received a cup with their name on it full of candy, bubbles, pencils, flash cards, and more! Mr. King also attached his business card with a special sentence on the back. Any student who read that sentence to Mr. King at Friday night’s Homecoming football game received a free concession! Miss Amanda’s class sends a big THANK YOU to everyone who donated items for this wonderful treat: Mr. and Mrs. Marlon King, Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Dancy, Mr. and Mrs. Link Carlton, Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Gray, Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Lefave, and Dr. and Mrs. Tom Russell.
