Haywood High FCCLA scores big at state contest
On April 10, several FCCLA members competed at State competition at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. The HHS FCCLA members represented the school well by bringing home the gold.
* Alycia Reed won first place in the entire State of Tennessee for Clothing Recycle and Redesign and will represent HHS at the national competition in Orlando, Florida, this summer.
* Symphony Timberlake won a Gold Medal for reciting the FCCLA creed in the senior category.
* Jada Shaw won a Gold Medal with a perfect score of 100 for reciting the FCCLA creed in the junior category and placed #1 in the State of Tennessee.
* Victoria Ambrose and Desmond Meaux won a Silver Medal for Interior Design
* Bianca Murrell and Jada Brooks won a Bronze Medal for Entrepreneurship.
The following FCCLA members and advisers volunteered as room consultants, judges, or voting delegates on the state level: Sabrina Snipes, Averyon Pettigrew, John Ballard, Mariah Gavin, Asia White, Vickie Noles, Nekita Johnson, and Denita Jarratt.
Director of Career and Tech Division Pam Diebold expressed to FCCLA members and advisers her pride in them for shining such a beautiful light on HHS.
