HHS Cross Country completes season
The HHS Cross Country team concluded its season on Tuesday, October 25, at Region 7 A-AA in Obion County. The team finished 7th out of 10 teams; which was two places higher than the team was predicted to finish coming into regional meet.
Sophomore Deonte Brown led Haywood High with a 20th place finished in a time of 19:40. Joshua Wilson (junior) placed 39th with a time of 21:00. Daniel Evans (senior) placed 43rd with a time of 22:19; two spots behind him was freshman Kyler Douglas who ran a 22:26. Chris Swain (senior) finished the scoring for Haywood High with a 52nd finish in a time of 23:16. It’s the first time in years no one finished worse than 100. Deonte Brown missed qualifying for the state meet by 10 places.
