HHS students study French cooking
Recently, the French II classes of HHS were involved in a culinary experience. The students studied about la cuisine française (French cooking), and planned and prepared un déjeuner français (a French lunch). The techniques of famed chef Julia Child were observed, and students quickly embraced her signature phrase, “Bon Appétit!”
Poulet cordon bleu, quiche Lorraine, pommes de terres gratinées, and mousse au chocolat were prepared and enjoyed by the students. Thank you to the Career and Technical Division of HHS for sharing the culinary kitchen and especially to Mrs. Jan McAdams for her assistance.
