HMS Host For “Healthy” 5K
Haywood Middle School recently held a 5K run/walk as part of its healthier school initiative. Several staff members from our schools participated, including Superintendent Teresa Russell. The very chilly temperatures didn’t stop dedicated runners and walkers from completing their goal. Local doctors and businesses, including Insouth Bank, Simmons Bank, Food Giant, Banks Law Firm, Save-A-Lot, Brownsville Family Medicine, Haircuts & Shaves, 1st South Bank, Russell Dental Group, Wal-Mart, Reagan Muffler, Coordinated School Health, Strive App, and AMI, all helped sponsor this event. Here are some pictures of very serious, and not-so-serious athletes have a great time being healthy!
