Interior Design Students Tour Belle Meade Mansion
HHS Career and Tech teacher Mrs. Denita Jarratt recently took a group of Interior Design students to Nashville to tour the historic Belle Meade Mansion and plantation. Belle Meade Plantation represents various architectural styles of the 19th century. General William G. Harding, the original owner of Belle Meade Plantation, enjoyed a penchant for architecture and design and typically chose the latest trends in building design for his beloved plantation. The house is decorated as it would have been in the 1800s. Students learned what life would have been like during that time. The house was decorated for Christmas and the students were informed of how Christmas was celebrated during different time periods in the South.
