On Wednesday, January 29, Mr. Tim Simpson, meteorologist from WREG Channel 3 in Memphis, came and spoke to East Side students about reading and weather safety. The Family Resource Center’s Book Jam theme was “Reading Up a Storm,” so what better way to encourage students to read and learn about weather safety than having a television meteorologist visit!
