Pam Diebold Named West Tennessee Director Of The Year
Pam Diebold, Director of Career and Technical Education for Haywood County Schools, was named West Tennessee Career and Technology Director of the Year. The award was presented by Dr. Danielle Mezara, Assistant Commissioner of College and Career Readiness, at the legislative breakfast in Nashville on February 10. Pam is serving her sixth year as the director and taught culinary arts for 10 years prior to that.
“It is an honor to receive this award from my West Tennessee colleagues,” Pam said. “I am trying very hard to make sure that Haywood County has a viable program that will help to mold our workforce of tomorrow. This award demonstrates the determination and perseverance that our teachers have to try new programs and guide our students in pathways of success. The students that we have today must strive to become highly skilled to meet the demands of today’s workforce. The industry of Haywood County needs a workforce that can meet the demands of our highly skilled, high-wage needs. I am proud to be apart of a school system that is planning for the future of our students. We are making a difference in the lives of students everyday.”
