Pot-bellied pig “Fiona” visits Anderson
Kindergarten students visited with a real pot-bellied pig named Fiona last week. They had recently read the story “Julius,” about a pig with no manners, who comes to live with Maya, who doesn’t know how to have fun. Through their antics, they learn from each other. We think that Fiona, who was shared by Tessa Stephens, probably does have good manners, judging from her beautiful purple toenails!!! Tessa is a 2010 Haywood High School graduate and the daughter of Joe and Pam Stephens.
