Fifteen students from Haywood Middle School participated in the Haywood County Spelling Bee on January 24: 6th Grade – Deon Jones, Bradley Johnson, Tamela Bell, Preston Moore and Kestin Williamson; 7th Grade – Massi Twitty, J. T. Lea, D. J. Taylor, Emily Russell and Kevion Evans; and 8th Grade – Mattie Ford, Emmy Parker, Brieria Starks, Alexis Hines and Logan Wilburn.
