Two HHS students to attend Boys State
Two HHS students, Chris Parker and Rashad Mann, have been selected to represent Haywood High School at the American Legion Boy State Conference located at Tennessee Technical University, Clarksville, Tennessee. The American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students focusing on the operation of local, county and state governments.
Christopher Parker plans on attending the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, or Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida, to pursue a career as a Military Aviator. Chris is a member of the HHS Air Force Junior ROTC, Beta Club, Kitty Hawk Air Society, Spanish Club, and Junior Bank Board.
Rashad Mann plans on attending the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and major in chemistry. Rashad is a member of the Air Force Junior ROTC, Beta Club, Show Choir, Academic Decathlon Team, Youth Leadership, Student Government, and Spanish Club.
