Art students at HMS display work
Seventh and eighth graders created the artwork on the wall in the gym at Haywood Middle School. A variety of compositions were created, such as mosaics, two- and three-point perspective, rotating tessellations, and portrait collages. Different types of media were used to develop these images, such as pastels, acrylic paint, tissue paper and newspaper, markers, and crayons. Throughout each process, students learned about Pointillism, Collages, Mosaics from famous artists, including George Seurat, George Braque, and M. C. Escher.
