The Haywood County Schools District Office staff created this Scarecrow entry for the annual contest on the courthouse lawn and did it with ingenuity, representative of the entire school system. It was made completely with recycled materials – no new items were purchased for the bus or the scarecrow “riders.” The bus is a recycled shelf, desk and paneling, and the scarecrows were each made of used materials. There are scarecrow students representing each school, and the bus driver is representing the dedicated drivers of Haywood County Schools. Notice that the students are smiling … as they ride along in “Bus 77!”
