Character Parade
Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY!
Haywood Elementary students eagerly lined up for their Character Parade on Halloween.
The gym walls were lined with spectators as children so proudly showed themselves off as characters from their favorite books. As their class turn came, they walked in the parade carrying their favorite book, eager to share the wonderful things they had read. Everywhere you could hear the excited chatter about who they were dressed as and what it was about that particular character they liked so much.
Even the faculty joined in on the fun which the students found to be hilarious.
This is such a fun and exciting way to get and keep children interested in the adventures of reading.
