Haywood County students recently took the first field trip of the school year to see the City of Brownsville’s rendition of Shrek The Musical Jr.   Buses loaded with excited students pulled up at the Ann Marks Performing Arts Center at College Hill on two days of the production.

This story was part fairy tale and part romance as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, led a cast of misfits on an adventure to find true acceptance.  It was a show that was both entertaining as well as delivering a powerful message.
