Join HCS in aiding flooded Waverly schools
Please donate and join Haywood County Schools as they participate in a state-wide fundraiser to benefit fellow school district Humphreys County, whose schools were devastated in the catastrophic flash floods that swept through Waverly on Saturday, August 21. Coordinated by Family Resource Centers across the state, the massive school supply drive is requesting specific supplies from each school district – Haywood County has been tasked with collecting packs of construction paper and boxes of #2 pencils for the more-than 2,000 students currently displaced. Donations are being received through Thursday, September 2, at Anderson, Haywood Elementary, East Side, Sunny Hill, Haywood Middle and Haywood High School. Questions may be directed to Peggy Jackson at pjackso2@utk.edu.
