HES students learn about listening
Haywood Elementary students are learning all about the Leader in Me program. Recently several of the students put on a skit about a girl who loved to talk. She talked and talked and talked until she lost her voice. Then she couldn’t talk so she began to listen and learned some things she never noticed before. When she got her voice back, she learned that listening is good to do, too! Some of the Haywood Elementary teachers were also participating in a Leader in Me training at the Dyersburg Intermediate School.
Renowned as the world’s premier personal-leadership development solution, the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People aligns timeless principles of effectiveness with the challenges educators face today. The 7 Habits workshop they attended recently develops leadership principles in individuals, as teams, and throughout a school-wide culture of leadership.
