HES Celebrates The 100th Day Of School
February was an exciting month for Haywood Elementary first graders. They began the month with the 100th Day of School Celebration. Students and teachers dressed as if they were 100 years old! For 6- and 7-year-olds, they make cute older people! Beards, bowties, and bonnets were some of the features in our school for that day, along with walkers, wigs, and a “whippin’ stick!” The students enjoyed getting to dress up and seeing how their classmates and friends will look when they turn 100!
