Anderson is thankful … for school!
Students at Anderson learned about Thanksgiving AND about reading, math, colors, sizes, and a “whole bunch of other cool stuff!” Miss Krista Parker’s class used turkey feathers with letters on them to identify the sounds of letters and beginning sounds in words. Miss Denise Hooser’s class learned how to graduate sizes using different size turkeys. Miss Laurel Garrett’s class learned about beginning sounds in words beginning with “P” (for pumpkin). Miss Wendy Hopper’s class learned about colors and parts of trees using their fingers, hands, and arms to make great fall trees. Look at all the fun ways we learned about our basic skills using the Thanksgiving theme!
